I've recently read through Piranesi by Susanna Clarke and the concept of the reader/narrator searching through an archive, journals or similar to find out more about the story is really intriguing to me!
My ultimate dream would be a fictional book about an event/mystery that really is just written like an archive with no narrator. Just the reader trying to figure out what's going on, rereading previous entries to further ones understanding with new context etc..
Happy to hear any suggestions, even if only slightly matching 🙂
