I’m wrapping up Midnight at the Christmas Bookshop by Jenny Colgan, and looking for something with a similar vibe to read next. I like the vintage Edinburgh setting, the cozy vibes, and the way the story is centered on people building their lives.
My bookshelf is mostly classics and some dark/historical fiction, with the very recent addition of a whole bunch of fluffy romance – Lore Olympus, ALL of Laurie Gilmore’s Dream Harbor series, I indulged in some of those damn probably AI-written werewolf stories on GoodNovel app, and now Jenny Colgan. Work’s been stressful, and I’ve found that fluffy romances are easy to digest and provide the dopamine boost I’m looking for while still being interesting.
