Started watching the first season of underbelly and want to read some books about the Melbourne gangland killings or just gang related things in Australia. If anyone could suggest me something that would be great.
A thinly, **thinly** fictionalised account of the rise and fall of John Wren, the most powerful and notorious man in Australia. This book damn near got the author killed, as the guy it’s about arranged to have the printer‘s office firebombed to destroy the press. It damn near got him jailed, as Wren went after him for libel. The pretence of fiction is **that** thin.
If you know the area it’s set in, you can follow events on a literal map.
