I’m looking for a very specific kind of book, with a very specific low level fantasy/supernatural mistery setting of a small rural village in the mountains

This are my specs for the novel I'm looking for:

• Setting of a backwater european village in the mountains
• It's always raining or it's misty or it's night.
• The locals are sympathetic rather than misstrusting and antagonistic.
• Strange, seemengly supernatural events keep happening
• Old abandoned places, crypts, mannors, temples in the forest, tunnels, strange structures that appear and disappear and the sort. People also disappear or die but not in mass
• The protagonist doesn't have to be local, but it's preferible
• The protagonist is just a normal person roped into things
• The protagonist is not a detective like twin peaks.
• Towards the end of the novel the story goes of the rails

Sort of like uzumaki but maybe more suspense and less supernatural events. No Stephen King, and no blackwater.

I know this is a lot but I'd really appreciate it if someone could recomend me a novel with all if not most of these elements
