I’ve been reading Laurens van der Post and appreciate how his work feels somewhat outside the mainstream. I’d like to explore more authors who carry that same sense of being overlooked or underground, though I don't feel he can be described as that. Guess they sell him a lot in the southern emisphere.
Anyway, any writer that feels a bit hidden from the usual? Any suggestions?
