I’m looking for a standalone book to read to my twin boys. They read a bunch on their own and tend to focus on series (maze runner, divergent, Percy Jackson, etc.)
I don’t mind stepping up in maturity level since I’m reading with them. The below are the last few I’ve read with them.
- Hatchet
- A wrinkle in time
- The eyes and the impossible
- The giver
- Number the stars
- The last cuentista
- When you reach me
- Holes
- Hoot
Thanks in advance!

My boys enjoyed Jules Verne at that age: Mysterious Island and Around the World in 80 Days were the two we read.
