I’m looking for a standalone book to read to my twin boys. They read a bunch on their own and tend to focus on series (maze runner, divergent, Percy Jackson, etc.)

I don’t mind stepping up in maturity level since I’m reading with them. The below are the last few I’ve read with them.

    1. Hatchet
    2. A wrinkle in time
    3. The eyes and the impossible
    4. The giver
    5. Number the stars
    6. The last cuentista
    7. When you reach me
    8. Holes
    9. Hoot

    Thanks in advance!
