    Ahoy possums ๐Ÿฆ” now that itโ€™s getting cold outside, Iโ€™m looking to curl up with some good books ๐Ÿ“• indoors. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a few books based on what Iโ€™ve loved in the past and wish I could forget so I could read them all over again!!

    A little life – Hanya Yanagihara;
    A thousand splendid suns – Khaled Hosseini;
    The road – Cormac McCarthy;
    10 minutes 38 seconds – Elif Shafak;
    God of small things- Arundhati Roy;
    The Underground Railroad – Colson Whitehead;
    All the light we cannot see – Anthony Doerr

    Thank you so much ๐Ÿฆ”โ˜บ๏ธ๐ŸŒฝ

    1. Since you’ve listed a few of my all time favs, here goes…

      Less Than by A.D. Long – Recently published. Deserves more hype. Really brilliant debut.

      Corban Addison – I’d recommend any and all of his books.

      Lisa Genova – Also on my auto read list.

      The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah – I’d be surprised if you haven’t already read it based on your list.

      Crossroads by Jonathan Franzen – He’s a bit pretentious but it’s a family saga I haven’t stopped thinking about since reading.

      The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd – I listened to the audiobook which was very well narrated.

      The Giver of the Stars by Jojo Moyes – Historical fiction that, sadly, still feels very relevant today.

      The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini – A must if you liked his other work.

      All The Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood – Check it out before committing. Very controversial with a lot of trigger warnings, but it’s a story that’s stuck with me, and it’s beautifully written.

      If you haven’t read any Jesmyn Ward she would be a perfect addition to your list. I loved “Sing, Unburied, Sing,” and she has a brand new book out called “Let Us Descend.”

    3. In the past, I’ve enjoyed many of your favorites. Another great one to try would be The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro. Or just about anything else by the author.

      Moloaka’i is one of my faves

      Firekeeprs Daughter I thought was great. Very rich characters.

      The Secret History by Donna Tartt

      Pachinko by Min Jin Lee

      The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon

    6. I’m always recommending *Lonesome Dove* by Larry McMurtry, and I don’t know if I’ll stop.
