Hi all, I'm in my early 20s and about to live in a big city for the first time in my life. I come from a suburban background, and it feels intimidating to leave everything behind to start somewhere new. Please suggest to me some books that feel like coming home after a long day with cozy and comforting vibes.

Some of my recent favorites include: Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors, Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano, My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Otessa Moshfegh, and Circe by Madeline Miller. Thank you all!

    1. I moved to another country 6 years ago, and a lot of my go-to book when homesick is just my childhood favorites : Treasure Island, Animorphs

And then Frankenstein : I’m from Switzerland so it hits home right on the spot and it’s one of my favorite thing to read.

The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann is also in there. Both for the swiss vibes and the philosophy discussion within it.

The Invisible Life of Addie Larue could also fit some theme of moving about and ending up in a big city.
