I've recently finished the Neopolitan Quartet (Ferrante), Pride and Prejudice, Consider Yourself Kissed (Jessica Stanley), and Gone Girl. All these books are somehow a meditation on what it is to be a woman. I'm also looking for something well-written (Gone Girl was surprisingly competent though it had a few shortcomings) and easy to read. And fairly common, so I can find it at my local library.
