Suggest me a book that is sweet, light & maybe some humour.
I've been on a dopamine burnout and NOTHING feels gratifying enough. So, i just need reccs that are lively enough that just maybe they can have my attention.
I like these tropes- TRUE enemies to lovers, friends w benefits to lovers, best friends to lovers, bodyguard romance blah blah blah
My only conditions is that i most def need angst, tension, slow-burn (no kiss in like the 7th chapter), some jealousy and protectiveness would be nice haha.
I enjoy grumpy character but not to the point that they are basically boring and have no personality whatsoever.

Maybe crossroads by Devney Perry, super light easy read you can fly through it and it’s an interconnected standalone duology.
Also somewhat recently read: next of kin by Hannah bonam young and it was honestly pretty enjoyable.
R.L Mathewson. Playing for keeps.
It’s on KU humour is off the charts. Pretty slow burn and then even when they do kiss they deny their feelings true HEA. Although Jason is only grumpy when someone eats “his” food because “he’s a growing boy dammit” (he’s 30)
Here are some wlw slow burns that I’ve enjoyed that are worth a look based on your criteria:
The Snowball Effect by Haley Cass
Just A Touch Away by Jae
Who’d Have Thought by G Benson
Stepping Stone by Karin Kallmaker

Theoretically Straight. Well, you never said anything about *not* wanting MLM. I guess it’s a bad recommendation.
