Long story short is that I have the vocabulary of an elementary kid. I left the US at 4th grade so I'd stopped learning English until we came back here when I was a sophomore in high school. I feel like because of this I have hard times with big words, trouble imagining descriptions, reading speed, etc. My favorite books to read are the Five Nights At Freddy's, Percy Jackson series (couldn't get into the spinoff series), and Harry Potter. I started reading a new book called "Zombie Season" and wow! I'm really enjoying it! Does anyone have any recommendations based on the books I've listed? Thank you!

I really enjoyed the Charlie Bone series when I was younger. Also Garth Nix’s days of the week series.
Based on what you currently like, The Hunger Game series would be good for you.
Reading is a great way to expand vocabulary! I like the chaos walking trilogy, trippy and fun
