I work at a YMCA and the kids I work with are SUPER into murder. By which I mean true crime. It’s a little concerning, but I’m choosing to chalk it up to A) the internet and B) having not experienced a major loss of a loved one.

Anywho, any good recs for murder mysteries or horror stories? So far all I’ve got is Goosebumps and I am Not a Serial Killer, but I’m looking for books that feature a diverse protagonist. Comics and Manga are also welcome. Thanks!

    1. I wonder if The List of Suspicious Things would be appropriate. It’s written from the pov of a couple of young teens, and it could well be a good book which they read now and then read in another ten years and understand a bit more about it. I’m not 100% sure though, by design it isn’t a children’s book – it’s based on true crime.

My first thought was A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder but I can’t remember anything about it.
