Suggest me a book that’s light and fun but not too ya
I’m looking for an easy read that’s fun and you can’t put down. I like pretty much anything fiction! I love thrillers and horror but doesn’t need to be those genres.
I remember reading a book called “The Intern’s Handbook” by Shane Kuhn ages ago – it was something like comedy thriller about an assassin who pretends to be an intern to get to his target. I remember it being full of dark, crude humor and sounds like something you might enjoy 🙂

Jana DeLeon Miss Fortune series and Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich are both laugh out loud light mysteries.

If you like horror, do you know Rachel Harrison or Grady Hendrix? They are the “silly” of the horror genre.

If you like funny sci fi, try John Scalzi. Or the Murderbot Diaries

Maybe Lucy Foley? The Guest List or The Paris Apartment or The Midnight Feast.
Main character goes into an odd situation and it takes a while to figure out exactly how odd the situation is.
Whoops – might have focused on the “can’t put down” and strayed pretty completely from “fun”.

The Tatami Galaxy by Tomihiko Morimi. It’s a really fun and quirky speculative fiction book.

Lillian Jackson Braun’s “The cat who…” series. Fast, easy, entertaining mysteries.

The Last Girlfriend on Earth and Other Love Stories by Simon Rich is a really fun collection. Some of the stories can actually get pretty sentimental but the comedy is always in the driver seat. He used to write for SNL with Bill Hader a lot back in the day.

Project Hail Mary. Fun and easy read. I personally had a hard time putting it down.
