Growing up, my mom would make me read every single night. I lovedddd the A-Z mysteries and I loved Molly Moons Incredible Book of Hypnotism. I was the kid who loved reading The Giver in school. I’m 25(f) years old now, so nothing too childish, of course.
I don’t read so I don’t really know what I like but I liked how those books made me feel. A tad anxious and excited to keep on reading.
I remember how I really had to use my imagination and mind when reading books. Now, my phone does everything for me so I fear my brain is slowing down because I don’t need to think any more. I’m getting sick of my phone and wish I didn’t have it…
Anywho… I don’t like horror. But I do like a little mystery book. Something with a twist. Something interesting.

Short story compilations to bridge the gap. I got Clive Barker’s Books of Blood recently. Used to love King’s short stories.
Try Agatha Christie.
It really made me an avid reader when I was a teenager and I still read them today. Very cool mistery books and easy to read.
Maybe Murder on the Orient Express
