I am looking for NOVELS where perfume plays a (big) role in the plot. Could be from any period, but if you happen to know any set in contemporary times that's ideal! I read Perfume and Pain by Anna Dorn. THANKS SO MUCH
The Shadowscent duology by P. M. Freestone and Perfume by Patrick Süskind.

The Perfumist of Paris by Alka Joshi. This is the third book in a trilogy. It continues with one of the characters we met in the previous books as she moves to Paris in the 70’s and works for a master perfumer. I would think you would need to read the first two to get it, but it does have some recap in the beginning if you are just wanting the perfume story. The first two also have wonderful descriptions of scent and tastes.

Maybe try Paladin’s Grace, the FMC is a perfumer and so it features quite heavily
