Any suggestions for good Horror/thriller novels, ones without any real supernatural elements (maybe slightly) I’m looking for horror that has human characters and terrific events instead of monsters and such.

As the title says! I'm really in the needs of reading some amazing horror/thrillers novels that hinge their ideas on plot points and events and human characters instead of the supernatural! Maybe something similar to "Tell me your dreams" or "The girl on the train", here's the jist, I need something that really gives me the best suspense and teaches me how to write good thriller and tension.

Got my own ideas for this kind of story but haven't delved much into the genre, any good recommendations would be really helpful!
