Books (or comics/manga) that feature more grounded version of “x-men/metahumans”

As in books like "Brilliance" by Marcus Sakey. There is a new race of people there are just born as savants. Highly specialized and instinctive savants.

That race of humans can't use laser eyes or control elements, but they by no means are any less dangerous. They can crash financial markets, shut down military of an entire country or become assassins on par with agent 47.

Brilliance is not a perfect book, it feels cheesy and unearned at times, but the idea kinda appeals to me. Tickles my "immersion" bone. Would highly appreciate if anyone knows books set in similar worlds.
