I’ve realized I probably lose half of the best book recommendations I get, sometimes I jot down a title on my phone, bookmark a Reddit thread, or screenshot something from IG or a group chat, but most of it just disappears into digital chaos.

Lately, I started collecting every rec (from Reddit posts, reviews, podcasts, even random Insta/TikTok mentions) in themed groups on an app called Core. It’s less of a reading tracker and more like a digital pinboard for “books to try” lists, and it works for any medium, so I can toss screenshots or web links right alongside my personal notes.

Anyone have a more seamless way to keep all those future reads organized? Am I overcomplicating it, or are there other tools or methods for taming the recommendation pile?
Would love to hear how other book lovers handle the rec-mess!

    1. I just use Goodreads “Want to read” feature. I’m already tracking books I finish and review there, so makes sense to keep my TBR there as well.

I look up the book on Goodreads and add it to my To Be Read shelf. I also check if it’s available on Libby and tag it there as well. Simple.

    3. Goodreads though I would love to be able to put a note as to what made me wanna read the book in the first place

    4. I have a Google Sheet I add books to. Once I get the book, I delete it.

I used to take pictures of book recs with my phone…but all those pics were wrecking havoc with my phone and cloud storage.

StoryGraph (like goodreads but not affiliated with Amazon). I added them to my to read list.

    6. Goodreads. I have over 400 on my want to read and try my best to buy books off that list for the most part.
