I recently started reading the Dark Tower series (Stephen King) and am projected an 8 week wait for book 3. Infuriating, because books 4-7 are all readily available. Give me some suggestions while I wait!
The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov (really anything by him)
The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula Le Guin (really anything by her)
The Last Unicorn by Peter S Beagle
I’m on so many super long hold lists. some of them are like “5 copies, 30 people on hold” but still somehow get to me within a few weeks but then others are “20 copies, 40 people on hold” yet for some reason the people checking it out can’t be fucked to finish the book quickly at all. like what is that (the hold lists for ancillary justice vs dungeon crawler carl – the first one took a week and the second took five months)
hmmwhatsoverhere on
The *Final architecture* trilogy by Adrian Tchaikovsky
*Jurassic park* by Michael Crichton
Side note, your wait time actually makes sense to me as I think book 3 of the best of the series’ first half.
