I really enjoyed the 'Thursday Murder Club' series, which I think has a mix of cosiness and campiness to it that I adore

I also enjoyed 'The Appeal' by Janice Halett. Not so much cosy–though they do share the small English Village setting which I really like (cos I've lived in one my whole life lmao)–but it had an air of not-taking-itself-too-seriously and pep to it

However, I've bumped into alot of books that I think are trying too hard to imitate one of them, which I find quite irritating. I'm looking for books that 'just so happen' to fit the vibe, rather than ones that feel like they're trying to imitate it–I hope that makes sense!!

So I'm looking for mystery books with a similar level of humourous OTT fun, and cosy vibes, but a firm identity of their own to enjoy!

(I'll put some other less important bits and bobs I enjoy in mysteries in a comment for further influence of picks! Thank you guys :D)
