I think I need a genre cleanse to get me excited about sci-fi and fantasy again. I naturally gravitate to those styles, but am at the point where the tropes feel repetitive. Don’t get me wrong, those same tropes are why I keep coming back, but I need a break (it’s not the genre, it’s me).
So here is my tough and maybe bit obscure request… Would love recommendations for present day or historical fiction that might appeal to me and keep me based on my love of the following books/series:
Red Rising
The Expanse
Imperial Radch
Yesterday’s Kim
Will of the Many / Licanius Trilogy
First Law Trilogy
Fitz and the Fool
The Locked Tomb
