    Hello there!

So, I recently watched a movie adaptation of a book before actually reading it, and now I can’t stop wondering… did I just ruin the book for myself?

I’ve noticed some people say you should always read the book first, while others argue that watching the adaptation can actually add to the experience. Personally, I feel like I already ‘know’ the plot now, but I’m genuinely curious—does that change how you experience the story when you finally read it?

I’d love to hear your thoughts! Have you ever watched an adaptation before reading the book? How did it feel—better, worse, or the same?

Nope. Wat hing tge movie or TV show first fits you interested in yhr world. Reading the book gives you more depth afterwards

    2. Yes. In my case I cannot remove actors’ faces from my imagination, unless the descriptions are very different than the movie.

Meh. I’ve seen it go both ways. My wife read the Hunger Games books before seeing the movies, and loved both. I watched the movies first and then read the book. I feel like there are characters I absolutely would have hated, or not understood, if I didn’t have the context of the movie to help it make sense.

On the other hand, I rest the first “Vera” book after watching all of the TV series and couldn’t finish it, because the show did such a great adaptation there were no surprises.

So, you won’t know until you try.
