I recently read “Stolen Focus” by Johann Hari, and one part really stuck with me – he talks about how reading fiction can help build empathy because you’re constantly putting yourself in different characters’ shoes and trying to understand their motivations.
I stopped reading fiction after high school because I thought I should focus on ‘more serious’ books. Now I’m realizing I missed out on a lot and want to get back into it.
So with that whole empathy-building idea in mind, I’m looking for books where you really get inside the characters’ heads and experience the world from their perspective. I’m open to any genre and would love hear your recommendations 🙂
