His favorites are Black Beauty and Where the Red Fern Grows. We’ve also read Winnie the Pooh, the BFG, and James and the Giant Peach. But he’s asked for Where the Red Fern Grows over and over. While I do like that he likes this book and I think it’s a good one, I want something maybe not so gut wrenchingly sad for a break. I think he just likes the dogs and the setting. TIA!
