My nine year old son has only been reading and rereading Calvin and Hobbes books for the past year or so. I don’t mind him reading comics or graphic novels at all but would love to know if another comic or series that might delight him!
(He has also read all of the Dog Man books.)
Thanks!

My kids, and a ton of kids at our pool this summer, became obsessed with the Archie comics this summer. (Age range 5-18.) They became a swim meet staple!
Garfield has a ton of collections/compilations around. They are great! Same with old school Donald Duck.
For more modern graphic novels, like Dog Man: Cat Kid, Captain Underpants, etc.

Phoebe and her Unicorn follow a similar pattern — kid with animal friend, smaller comics within a book, kind of philosophical, often cute/sweet/funny. There are like 18 books or so
Wings of Fire has graphic novels and chapter books. My 8.5 yo is obsessed!
