I have an original character named Gracie. She lives in an irradiated wasteland version of Australia (Junkertown, Overwatch universe). She is a cannibal and lost her mom. She does roller derby and has a preying mantis mech/robot companion (undecided). I've watched Tank Girl but haven't read the comics, and I liked watching the Mad Max movies. I think they both fit the universe pretty well. But, I'm looking for any books that talk about any of the following:
— Books featuring unhinged female main characters. Preferably if they were cannibalistic or overall aggressive. I've only read one book on cannibalism and it was Tender is the Flesh, I was disturbed by it and I guess enjoyed reading it as much as you can enjoy a book like that XD. I didn't feel like it related to Gracie though because it was more of a societal thing instead of it being one person battling with it.
— Books set in Australia, especially if it shows how the animals and wildlife there are like. Also, how Australians speak through dialogue and their humor.
— Books about surviving in an apocalyptic/wasteland setting, especially if theres scary animals or creatures and other survivors. Again, would prefer a female lead and would prefer no zombies.
— Books with a main character that have a mech or creates robots or tools maybe
