I seem to get bored whenever the 'enemies' become 'lovers' so I'm looking for a romance (or novel with strong romantic subplot) that has complex dynamics between the lead characters, with rivalry, or banter, or even outright hate (not hate crimes tyvm). Preferably not focused on spice, and although attraction if crucial, I'd prefer if lust isn't the only/main reason they are drawn to eachother, and Preferably m/f relationship.
Some books I have enjoyed are The Invisible Life Of Addie Larue (only because of Luc, Henry was boring), The Cruel Prince, The Bear and The Nightingale, and Skulduggery Pleasant (humour wise).
