I'm craving for a story that has the very same feeling as the reveal of Hodor's name origin had. That moment when everything suddenly clicks and the whole story changes in hindsight. The clues were always there, but you only see them now, and it makes you go oooh daaaamn and the whole thing becomes way more powerful (and usually more tragic).
Any book or short story recommendations that deliver that kind of reveal?
Like when it turns out the guy was a patient in the asylum and not a detective – that kind of reveal.
I put the Mystery/Thriller tag, but it can be anything – time traveling, parallel universes, memory twists, unreliable narrator, etc. Please no spoilers though, I want to be deliciously surprised.
