I love books that have puzzles that the characters have to figure out, but make me feel like I’m also trying to figure it out. I usually gravitate towards whodunnit murder mysteries with twists.

I loved all of Holly Jackson’s books (A Good Girls Guide To Murder series, Five Survive, etc). I also loved Karen M. McManus books (One of Us Is Lying).

However I don’t like too much gore or anything really graphic when it comes to the murder.

I also love historical/adventure settings with this (The Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett).

If it has a romance subplot that’s a plus. But I’m opening to anything that has puzzles and plot points that you don’t see coming. I love to be kept on my toes!

    1. The 7 and a half deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. You have to work to keep up with it. Very much a puzzle.

I felt the same way about the girl in cabin 12

    2. Strange Sally Diamond by Liz Nugent & Altered Carbon by Richard K. Morgan

Please take care and look up content/trigger warnings beforehand if needed.

The Fellowship of Puzzelmakers by Samuel Burr has little puzzles built into every chapter. And it’s really, really cute!

    4. Lady Hardcastle mysteries by TE Kinsey should be right up your alley. Mysteries + a sort of historical setting (I guess lol)

Plus there’s just enough funny lines to keep you laughing. And some crazy twists to make it even more interesting 😂
