I'm looking for a vampire book where either the main character is a vampire hiding among humans while still hunting them or a sort of murder mystery where MC has to figure out who's the vampire while being hunted by them. I don't have much experience in the genre but am down for anything as long as it has strong plot! I'll be really grateful if anyone can give me recks!!

I recently read “Dracula” by Bram Stoker. It’s the origins of vampirism, an English classic. the ending is quite sad, and the author keeps the reader in suspense until the very end. I highly recommend it)
Not precisely what you described but Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil has vampires living and hunting among humans throughout history, and it was really good!
