My kids (11 and 8) loved the Encyclopedia Brown and A to Z Mysteries books. What series should we get next? My 11yo reads at a 6th grade level and my 8yo reads at a 4th grade level.
My son really liked National Park Mystery series. Only the first 3 had been written, and he really enjoyed them. Looks like more have been added.

At that age I jumped from Encyclopedia Brown to Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine.

Since Christmas season is quickly approaching, I’ll recommend a couple of seasonal books my kids enjoyed.
– Greenglass House by Kate Milford (I think that’s the author) This is a duology plus a book that’s mentioned frequently in this book because it’s a story within a story, so 3 books in total.
– Winterhouse by Ben Gutterson (again, not 100% on the author last name). This is a trilogy.

Try M. G. Leonard’s series. The Highland Thief is the first one.
The 39 Clues series is probably a good fit.
Zilpha Keatly Snyder wrote several good kids’ mysteries: The Egypt Game, The Headless Cupid, and The Velvet Room come to mind
