Puzzle / adventure books

Hi,

I’m looking for novels that read like an adventure / puzzle video game. For example, a protagonist finds themselves in situations where they need to solve puzzles and mysteries to progress the story. Any genre is fine (sci-fi, fantasy, modern, etc), but I’m not really into romance books. Some examples of games with storytelling and puzzle solving are like Gone Home, Monkey Island, Myst, Blue Prince, Visage, or the House of DaVinci (trying to put a variety out there – I have a very long list haha). An example of an author I really like is Robin Sloan, but I’d really like the puzzle elements to go deeper.
