I'm currently looking for a classic mystery/horror novel with similar feels to Alan Wake 2's "Saga"-part or twin peaks. Preferably something with small town setting and an FBI Agent who comes to investigate strange happenings and violent murders. It may dive into the supernatural, but shouldn't overdo it. I'd also like something involving a cult or anything like that.
