I’ve read 27 books this year and yet none of them have blown me away. Last years book that got me was God of the Woods. I did love Alison Bechdels newest.
Looking for something with good narrative that’s also well written or makes you curious. Could be memoir, cozy fantasy, mystery, lit fic etc. Wide range!
But, if it has ever been nominated for a Booker prize I’m out.

It’s very much on the darker side, but I am absolutely tearing through the Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, and find myself liking it even more than Demon Copperhead, which I also LOVED.
Playworld was really good. Also I’m reading The Sisters now and it’s excellent although I think it’s up for the Booker it’s so so good— a big chonky family novel
Do they have to be new, or just ones we love?
