Looking for a book club book , fiction only, for two adults searching for meaning and adventure in life ! We’ve both been through some tough times and want to stretch our brains, so no tom Clancy (no offense intended) !
Lies of Locke Lamora is excellent, I finished it in 3 days (it’s 500ish pages, and I am not a fast reader, it was just that good). It’s a series, but if you stopped reading after the first book, youll be satisfied.
It’s a gang of orphan thieves, in a world that can be compared to old Italy, with witty banter, and detailed world building. Lots of found family, really no romance, some violence but nothing terrible descriptive.
