    Hi all,

I have a three month old son, who is adorably making it absolutely impossible to sleep. So I have far more time on my hands to read. Win-wins all around!

So I was hoping for some great book suggestions. Anything goes, but here are my all-time faves
    – Dark thrillers, like The Silence of the Lambs (Harris) or Gone but not Forgotten (Margolin), but not the Millennium Saga.
    – Books that will make me cry, like A Monster Calls (Ness) or Shuggie Bain (Stuart)
    – Books that will make me really very uncomfortable, like Annihilation (VanderMeer)
    – Big Westerns, like East of Eden (Steinbeck) or Lonesome Dove (McMurtry)
    – Awesome non-fictions, like Entangled Life (Sheldrake) or Sapiens (Harari)
    – Easy fantasy, like Dungeon Crawler Carl (Dinniman) or Red Rising (Brown)
    – Harder fantasy, like ASOIAF or the Kingkiller Chronicle (Rothfuss) but not Brandon Sanderson
    – Smart scifi, like Ender's Game (Card) or Project Hail Mary (Weir)

    Again, anything goes!

    1. Some of my family members with similar taste have really enjoyed Humble Pi: A Comedy of Maths Errors by Matt Parker! Also anything by Randall Munroe- What If? 1 and 2 and How To are all great
