Suggest me a book where playing the piano is one of the main themes.
I’ve recently picked up playing the piano again after reading a YA book where the main character plays the piano. If there are any other books that you guys would recommend, I would appreciate it. Thank you!
Maybe “Fiona and the Forgotten Piano”, if you’re open to middle grade? I haven’t read it yet, but it sounds great!

The Young Unicorns. It’s not THE main theme, but one of the leads is a young girl who plays piano, and piano (and music in general) comes up several times during the story.

The Unconsoled by Ishiguro.

Symphony of Secrets maybe? Piano playing isnt exactly the main focus but there is some in there

There are certainly heavy themes of piano playing in The Refugee Ocean by Pauls Toutonghi. I would highly recommend it! It’s a little heavy but very worth it, in my opinion.

There’s a very good children’s novel about a girl who plays the organ. It’s called “A Crooked Kind of Perfect” and it’s written by Linda Urban. I really enjoyed reading it as an adult.

Okay, this is maybe a weird rec, but you did say any genre… “My Funny Demon Valentine” by Aurora Ascher**.** It’s a romance between Asmodeus the demon, who escaped from hell, and Eva, a musician. Asmodeus plays the piano and it’s a key part of the story as the two bond over music.

A Play – (which I enjoy reading) – Alexander Pushkin’s 1830 play Mozart and Salieri Which was the inspiration for the play by Peter Shafer -1979’s Amadeus. Shafer adapted his play to the screen skyrocking Tom Hulce to early stardom.
