I scroll tiktok to decompress or before bed, I do it on autopilot at this point once I open my phone. It’s something that requires no thinking while I relax but I can’t tolerate it anymore, my algorithm is either shopping related or political and I need a break.
Would like to start reading to decompress.. but I need to ease into it. What’s a good book to start with after a tiktok addiction.
Every genre and subject I think of I cant imagine being interested in. So I am not sure what I am looking for.

I would recommend getting physical journal to use along your reads. Ponder some concepts from book. Describe what it does with your head. Write down favourite passage. Be creative.
Pen is a tongue of the mind. Writing along reading gives you good dopamine.
I just started reading Lonesome Dove to help replace my doom scrolling and it’s been successful for the last week or so.
