Hello!
I am interested in Western belief systems and cultures (specifically gender, work ethics and manliness, but I am also interested in other topics as well). I cannot find comprensive overviews that give a broader picture of Western cultures; all I can find are pop books that make political points. I guess I am looking for some intro-level college textbook in anthropology, but I found none focused on the West.
Which books or resources do you suggest me? Which scientific disciplines do cover this topic?
