My favorite authors are Ottessa Moshfegh and Chuck Palahniuk.
I love anything weird, gross, but thought provoking. Like my 12th grade English teacher would say, “it’s got to have literary merit!!”
I’m open to classics. I like magical realism but not a huge fan of straight up fantasy.
Some books I like:
-Eileen
-Fight Club
-Lolita
-The White Tiger
-The Stranger
-The Master and Margarita
I would really appreciate any and all recommendations!! I feel totally stuck, book-wise.

Try The Vaster Wilds, The Road, and Lwt Us Descend.
All really good but I don’t see Let Us Descend recommended very often and it’s so incredibly written – I think about it a lot.
I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid
Tender Is the Flesh.
You might enjoy Money by Martin Amis
Anything by Mona Awad. My favorite was All’s Well
