I’m on the hunt for books that will linger in your mind long after the last page. I tend to gravitate towards classics but I love a good book no matter the author. (Bronte sisters, Dante, Austen, Kafka etc.) Lately, I’ve been craving something that hits both complex characters and story, melancholy, maybe even a little existential unease. Something that leaves you saying “what the fuck didn’t just read”. Preferably a mystery or detective novel. If you know authors or novels that make you feel like you’re living inside someone else’s head, I’d love to hear your recommendations.
