Cosy autumn kids’ books?

I have an 8yo who is a struggling reader but loves being read to. He's just requested "something cosy for autumn." Any suggestions for a book in the 8-12yo range? I was thinking Little House on the Prairie (lots of great discussions to be had about certain parts of those books as well) but anything else with a similar vibe would be great! Doesn't have to be a classic. Thanks!
