I know, the title sucks- but hear me out!

I love books that contain small details about the everyday life, books that feel like a film (maybe?), books that offer a certain ✨vibe✨. I don't really mind what the plot is, it can literally be anything but if it is going to be an explicitly romance book, I would prefer a queer romance or if it is going to be a hetero couple I would like a more unique relationship (like Fleabag and Hot Priest, idk I'm trying 😭) I cannot explain this properly, so here are some examples of this sort of books that I really liked:

    • Giovanni's Room – James Baldwin
    • No Longer Human – Osamu Dazai
    • The Secret History – Donna Tartt
    • Hippie – Paulo Coelho
    • Call Me By Your Name & Find Me – André Aciman
    • Billy Summers – Stephen King
    • If We Were Villains – M. L. Rio
    • Stranger – Albert Camus
    • Samarkand – Amin Maalouf
    • A Little Life – Hanya Yanagihara
    • The Song of Achilles – Madeline Miller
    • Any fictional book by Matt Haig

If any of my ramblings make sense to you (I don't even know what I'm talking about), I'd really appreciate a suggestion from you! Thanks in advance! <3

State of Wonder by Ann Patchett

The way she writes is so detailed it’s like you’re watching things happen on a screen.
