Any action-oriented story with a damsel-in-distress plot or subplot that has an actually compelling damsel character? Bonus points for how extreme of a struggle it is to get them back. Preferably sfw but not is fine
It doesn't have to fit 1 to 1. What led me to want more of this kind of story was guts and casca from berserk, which casca arguably isn't much of a damsel in distress but you get the idea. Strong guy (preferably) fighting hard to get someone back, in whatever way that means for the plot.
