I'm doing a lineup of 8 literary fiction novels/short story collections (not memoirs) centered around the immigrant experience.
What I have so far:
– Americanah by C.N. Adichie
– The Namesake by J. Lahiri
– Interpreter of Maladies by J. Lahiri
– Pachinko by M.J. Lee
– Homeseeking by K. Chen
– American Ending by M. K. Zuravleff
– Lion Women of Tehran by M. Kamali (a loose fit, I know, it's mostly about friendship, and not very literary. I'm willing to drop this one)
I need 1-2 strong titles to round up the list. Any suggestions? Bonus points if not American-centric. I am also missing e.g. Latin America entirely.

Not to knock her work at all, but I’m wondering, would you rather have two of Lahiri’s books or pick one and free up a slot?
For Latin America, there’s Cristina García’s *Monkey Hunting* or Karen Tei Yamashita’s *Brazil-Maru*.
Other suggestions: André Dao’s *Anam* (Vietnam > France/Australia), Amitav Ghosh’s *The Glass Palace* (India > Burma > Malaya).
The Arrival by Shaun Tan? It’s a graphic novel.
* *The Joy Luck Club* by Amy Tan
* *Persepolis* by Marjane Satrapi
* *Bread Givers* by Anzia Yezierska
Songs for the Brokenhearted by Ayelet Tsabari
The Loyal Daughter by Nancy Lam
Hotline by Dimitri Nasrallah
Home of the Floating Lily by Silmy Abdullah
