My kid (10) is currently on a scientist kick and loves reading about Archimedes, Roman/Greek Architecture, Einstein, Black Holes, Inventors etc. Looking for adult non-fiction books that relate to these subjects that might engage him (and not put me to sleep) since we will be listening as an audiobook together.
Note: He hates reading about death (animal deaths even more so) and is highly anxious already, so the less talk about the potential for world ending catastrophes the better. Plus I have no interest in anything that might prompt sex related conversations early in the morning!
We have already listened to:
Harnessing the Wind which (He LOVED the parts explaining how it worked!)
Adam Savage’s Every Tool’s A Hammer (Great!)
The Feather Thief
Short History of Nearly of Everything (Okay – It was a bit long and I found it a bit boring in parts)
Any Recs?
