don't get me wrong, i already read a lot but i noticed that a lot of the times i reach for my phone instead of a book in certain situations. when im at work but i have nothing to do, on shorter bus rides, waiting for someone, etc etc, usually when i know i don't have the time to immerse myself in a story but it's also long enough that my screen time is too high for my liking.
so basically please suggest me books that can be read without immersion, the interruptions don't ruin it, it's not so good that i'd struggle putting it down but it's interesting enough to hold my attention even if there are distractions like noise. anything is appreciated, non-fictiin included! i mostly read litfic, thrillers or ya mystery/fantasy.

Hey, saw your post and I would like to recommend “Call of the mountain” by Gabriel Luna Andaluz.
If you are open to a dark fantasy this book head a lot to offer!
Hope you can give it a look! 🖖🏾
try Flowers for Algernon. it’s perfect for you
