This might be open-ended and depend on how your brain works but here goes: Some books require quiet and focus. But also when I’m out and about, I might find myself in a more noisy environment and still want something to read.
For example, funny or adventurous, not “dumb” but less about the prose and more about the situation or plot. Maybe Chuck Palhaniuk or similar?
Like, Into Thin Air would still have me on the edge of my seat in a noisy place. Even if it’s not adventure, what would you read when not in the comfort of your favorite quiet reading place?
