The title pretty much sums it up. Are there any good books from authors that aren't British or American, or wrote their works in a language that isn't English before the 19th century? It can be any genre. I want to broaden my horizons a bit and look outside the English sphere, the 1889 thing has to do with a project I'm working on. Any recommendations help and thank you.
