Starting to think about my reading goals for next year. Currently planning on tracking publisher types for 2026 and then set some reading goals around publisher types in 2027.
I’m less likely to keep up with the tracking if I keep changing the tags and their criteria so I’m trying to get a solid system in place before the new year.
I’ve listed my current thoughts. Wondering if I should treat books in the public domain differently. Welcome other ideas. Thanks!

So the thing with the Big 5 Houses is they are umbrellas for smaller imprints which all have their own editors and publish widely. PRH alone contains Berkley which publishes mostly romance and genre as well as Crown which publishes big, celebrity nonfiction (think Michelle Obama or Prince Harry).
There’s not a single “house style” for the Big 5
